ABOUT. THE PROJECT
What is IP4Growth?
IP4Growth – Intellectual Property Program for Collaborative and Innovative SMEs is an awareness project to stimulate Italian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) on Intellectual Property and its key role in enabling collaborative and innovation projects, through a program of online workshops and live events in Milan, Italy.
The Project will run for 12 months (September 2023 – September 2024) and is financed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office-EUIPO, GR/003/23, Strand C, Small and Medium Enterprises-SMEs, GA Number 1320230016. The grant beneficiary is Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.
Targets
The project will address Italian SMEs, and all activities will be executed in the Italian language.
The following target groups are recognized: Startups, spin-offs, and innovative Italian SMEs; SMEs distinguished according to their operating sector (manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical and chemistry, fashion and textile industry, IT sector, ecc.); SMEs with women as entrepreneurs; SMEs particularly prone to collaborate with universities and other research centers.
General Objectives (GO)
TO PROMOTE.
The fundamentals of IP Rights through a program of awareness events, addressing multiple ‘hot’ topics related to the value of IP Rights for the growth and competitiveness of SMEs and their business activities.
TO INSPIRE.
SMEs to become more confident with and to trust the benefits of IP Rights, through a collection of significant stories, case studies, and testimonials on innovative and sustainable/digital solutions of other companies already leveraging IP Rights in their business activities.
TO ENGAGE.
Local and national entities (industry associations, chambers of commerce, local networks) in contact with SMEs, which regularly encourage enhancing the competitive edge of the Italian SMEs, on the topic of IP Rights and their benefits at the company level.
